In 2013 I moved from Scotland to Kent to take up the offer of a new position with a company near Ashford. Team activities and staff morale was important to the company and baking was one of the things my team liked to do. I began baking cakes for my team and although I had enjoyed baking in the past it had always been a challenge for me to get them just right. I started thinking up new ideas for things to make and one day I was given a recipe book from my hubby all about homemade candy/sweets and one of the recipes was for Marshmallows. This intrigued me as I had no idea until then how marshmallows were made! and although I did enjoy the occasional marshmallow, up until then I had only tried the dry pink & white varieties available from my local supermarket. I thought I would give it a go and I am glad I did! Handmade Marshmallows are like little pillows of heaven and nothing like the mass produced ones! I took them into work and my team and other work colleagues could not get enough of them and from
that moment on I was hooked!
We began doing some research and a lot of testing with flavours, and with the help of family & friends encouraging me, I decided to take the bull by the horns and start my own little business. In March 2014 Marshmallow Heaven was launched and we started attending a few local Farmers Markets in Kent. We quickly built up a following of loyal customers and we were then invited to exhibit at several Food Festivals later in the year, where we had great success. First time buyers always marvel at the range of flavours we are able to offer them and rave about the taste and texture, and come back time after time for more.
In late 2014 we launched our bespoke Celebration Towers. These towers are particularly popular for Weddings but equally can add the WOW factor to any celebration. The Towers come in Various sizes and start from as little as £125. Marshmallows have taken over my life and I now work full time for myself building up the business and spending my days thinking up new flavours and products to bring to my customers. Last year we launched our Nut Brittle range and are proud to say that we now stock them in Fortnum & Mason, Piccadilly, London
Once you buy from us you will be as hooked as we are, our customers are our friends who we enjoy seeing and chatting to time and time again.
